The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has reported 1,861 new coronavirus infections in the country.

The Centre disclosed this via its Twitter account on Wednesday night.

The health agency also confirmed that Nigeria recorded 22 deaths, bringing the current fatality toll in the country to 1,544.

It disclosed that Lagos recorded the highest toll with 773 cases, followed by FCT, 285.
