“Your thunderous vibrations reached the walls of my detention”

A former aide to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Salihu Yakasai, who was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS), has appreciated Nigerians for their support.

Yakasai was arrested after he pronounced the All Progressive Congress (APC) government a failure and also called for President Muhammadu Buhari’s resignation.

He made the call last Friday after the abduction of about three hundreds schoolgirls from the Government Secondary School in Zamfara State.

He was however fired over the statement by the state governor.

Kano State Ganduje-led government said Yakasai was sacked over “his continued unguarded comments which are deemed contrary to the stand of the All Progressive Congress (APC) government which he is serving”.

Speaking on his Twitter page on Tuesday, Yakasai said the call for his release reached the walls.

“Alhamdulilah I’ve regained my freedom. I’ve nothing but love to all those who added their voice one way or the other during my trying times. Especially the #FreeDawisu ARMY & others who played a critical role in my release, esp my sister @Sholiberry, family & close friends. Thank you.

“As expected, I have thousands of messages, forgive me I miss yours, I will try and reply all to the best of my ability within the coming days, but just know that I love and appreciate you all.

“Your thunderous vibrations reached the walls of my detention, it was massive,” he added.
