Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose and Senator Ademola Adeleke, the former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State 2018 election were among notable PDP figures from the South West Region that were conspicuously absent at the flag-off of the party’s governorship campaign in Akure, Ondo State on Saturday.

It was gathered that Fayose and others were not involved in the runnings of the campaign by Governor Seyi Makinde, which accounted for their absence.

Governor Makinde was said to have single-handedly constituted the campaign council, placing Fayose as member of the Mobilisation Sub-Committee.
