African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship aspirant in Ogun state, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka on Monday, defeated Ladi Adebutu, Tolu Odebiyi, and several other aspirants to emerge as the preferred gubernatorial aspirant of choice among residents of the state.

In an unscheduled live poll conducted by the first private radio and leading broadcast station in the state, Rockcity FM in its Current Affairs programme, ‘Day Break Show’, the two-time gubernatorial candidate polled about 73% as callers after callers tipped him as their preferred candidate.

Citing reasons for their choices, respondents attributed Isiaka’s wealth of experience in private and public sectors, intelligence, character and his commitment to people’s welfare as positive factors for their selection.

Some harped on his experience of having the political will to have contested twice, accessibility, sincerity, and humility as advantages, which separated him from others.

The ADC aspirant also scored overwhelmingly in an online poll concurrently conducted on the Twitter handle of the station.

Other aspirants, including Hon. Ladi Adebutu (PDP), Tolu Odebiyi (APC), Adegbenga Shefiu Kaka (APC), Bimbo Ashiru (APC) Hon. Abdulkabir Akinlade (APC) and Hon. Suraj Adekunbi (APC) trailed the choice of Isiaka by distant votes.

The station, however, revealed that it will make public, the outcome of the result on Friday when the station is expected to announce outcomes of different polls conducted between Monday and Thursday.
