NPFL Matchday 20: Kano Pillars gets draw in Warri as Heartland clinch away victory

Enugu Rangers pummeled Enyimba 2-0 in Enugu while Rivers United beat Dakkada with the same goal margin.

The only away draw recorded in the resumed Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) was at the Warri Township Stadium, where the Sai Mesu Gida, Kano Pillars played a one-all draw with their hosts Warri Wolves.

With the outcome of the result at Warri, Kano Pillars are second on the log, they have the same number of points with table toppers, Akwa United. The Kano team are only behind on goal difference.

In other matches, Akwa United had the better of Sunshine Stars with 2-0, putting the Owena Whales under Coach Gbenga Ogunbote deeper in the relegation zone.

Nassarawa United piped Kwara United 2-1, Katsina United walloped Wikki Tourist 5-0 as Plateau United beat Abia Warriors 2-0.in the other game, Owerri’s Heartland FC recorded an away victory over relegation-threatened Adamawa United with a lone goal.

However, MFM FC has been awarded three points and three goals by the Match officials after FC Ifeanyi Ubah failed to turn up for their away match scheduled to kick off at 2 pm today in Enugu.
