A call has gone to well-meaning individuals in the country, as well as corporate organisations to support the government in its efforts at combating the prevalence coronavirus pandemic, as government alone cannot provide the wherewithal to tackle the disease.

Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, made the call while receiving, on behalf of the State government 200 mattresses, donated by Mouka Foam, to support the government in its efforts to contain the deadly COVID-19, saying the gesture was apt, as the State was ensuring that all necessary machinery was in place, for the isolation and treatment of coronavirus patients.

’’Just yesterday, his Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun took people around isolation centres put in place by the government, as part of his preparedness to manage the coronavirus pandemic. We were shown round very impressive 128 bedded facility said to be the largest single facility available in the country today in terms of the number of beds’’, she said.

While appreciating Mouka for the generous donation, the Deputy Governor said the mattresses would be put to use when more isolation and treatment centres were created for possible patients of Coronavirus, noting that a lot still needs to be done in terms of relief materials for people during the lockdown, so as to be able to keep the family going.

According to him, ‘’we have the large chunk of our business in this environment and across Nigeria and we felt that at this critical period and in our usual bid, we must recognise and partner with Ogun Sate government, as we usually do to communities’’.
