Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s declaration of his recognition of Victor Gadiom as Acting National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) literally implies the end of Bola Tinubu’s political journey.

According to him, Tinubu, a National Leader of the APC, has been retired from politics and thrown under the bus by the Buhari following his open declaration of support for Gadiom.

Fani-Kayode in a Tweet post on Wednesday, said  “First Oshiomole is kicked out by the Court of Appeal. Then his preferred replacement, Ajimobi, falls into a coma.

“Then his arch rival, Giadom, is recognised by Buhari as Nat. Chairman. Conclusion: it is over for Tinubu. He has been thrown under the bus & retired from politics!”

President Buhari, on Wednesday, announced his endorsement of Giadom, the Deputy National Secretary of the APC, as the Acting National Chairman of the party following the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole.

The NWC of the party led by Oshiomhole had rejected Giadom and chose Senator Abiola Ajimobi to act as the chairman.

But the president’s declaration of recognition of Gaidom obviously indicates a loss of confidence in the Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the party and, according to Fani-Kayode, signifies Tinubu’s retirement from politics.
