Isiaka to Ogun electorate: Shun intimidation, vote massively for ADC

Ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Ogun State, ADC gubernatorial candidate, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka has told voters in the state not to entertain any fear as they go to the polls to elect a new governor.

In a press statement released in Abeokuta the Ogun state capital and signed by the Director of Media and Publicity of his campaign organisation, Bolaji Adeniji, Isiaka urged the electorate to troop out and vote in accordance with their concience without fear or intimidation.

The statement noted that a lot of clandestine activities by the opposition have been uncovered in the last few days, part of which includes physical intimidation of eligible voters especially in areas favourable to the opposition.

The statement reads in part, “Our principal, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka hereby urge the voting public to troop out massively on saturday and vote for the ADC. We are aware of the plans to instill fear in the mind of the electorate and prevent them from excercising their franchise”.

Continuing, “The state of insecurity has heightened since the war of attrition started between the APC and APM. In the last four weeks, several casualty have been recorded during fights between them and they have threatened a repeat show at the polls”.

The ADC candidate in the release encouraged the people not to be discouraged. He said, “We are confident that the security agencies will do their work and I appeal to our people to stand by their votes until it is counted at every polling booth. When we stand by it, it becomes difficult for manipulations”.

“They cannot win the election because the people have left them, hence their resort to violence and intimidation. I want to assure that every vote will count and the legitimate winner declared. We have full plans to ensure this happens and protect our votes”.

The statement further debunked insinuations and propaganda claiming alliances with other candidates.

“We are solidly in the ADC and we shall go to the polls confident of victory. GNI is set to offer good governance that will usher in a life of ease for all and the platform for such is ADC.
